Cause of the problem

This may happen when you try to run Counter Strike on 64-bit OS . and the game Compatible with 32-bit system.

Like : Counter Strike 1.6 

 

Fix of this problem

1- Right click on the game shortcut.
2- Choose Properties.
3- Compatibility 
4- Check "Run this program in Compatibility mode for": 
5- choose Windows XP SP2.
